SimpleModal Contact Form (SMCF) 1.2.4 includes the following changes:
- Upgraded SimpleModal to 1.3
- Fixed the bug that was supposed to be fixed in SMCF 1.2.3 😉
- Moved the JavaScript loading to the WordPress
init()
function - Optimized smcf.js variables to reduce file-size
- Moved close (X) link HTML from smcf.php to smcf.js (the SimpleModal closeHTML option)
Other than those updates, nothing major was changed. I’ve been working on the plans for a new version of SMCF with lots of new features, so stay tuned.

Hi there, I noticed a copyright notice on your contact form modal index.html file. Am I cool to use some of the code in my website? Thanks.
@Levi – as long as you provide attribution, you are welcome to use the code as you see fit.
Hi Eric, thanks for this great form! I’m having some issues getting this to work in conjunction with other jquery modules. Maybe I have too much going on here, but it appears that the “display:none:” property I assign to one of my tabs is causing IE6 to crash,.
https://www.omnitron-systems.com/product_page3.php
seems to work fine when I comment out this style sheet
css/ui.tabs.css
Any ideas what the problem could be?
What exactly is the problem that you are having and how does SMCF fit into the issue? Using Firebug, I see that you have a JS error on your page. I’m not sure about the IE issue.
Sorry, I realize my questions was vague. Under the “Request info” tab there is a link “Info Request” that uses the SMCF code. The link works in everything but IE6, just curious if you had come across the issue before.
Thanks
@Steve – I see what you mean. I have the same issue with the Contact Form Demo on this site, but the issue seems to be related to a JS error from WordPress Stats.
I don’t see any JS errors on your site, so I’m not sure what is causing the problem. Also, I can run the Demo on other sites, so I don’t think it is a problem with just the code.
oh man, I ask a lot of questions. Can you take a look at my website, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the link that says “Drop the webmaster an email”. When I do I get a simpleModal contact form popping up but it isn’t big enough to hold the form so there is a scroll bar showing. When I move the scroll bar up and down the fields move through each other. Also, the X to close the form is displaying over the scroll bar.
Cool! I figured it out by myself. Had to edit the simplemodal-contact-form-smcf/js/jquery.simplemodal.js file.
@Edward Kelley – What did you have to edit? It should work fine without any modifications.
Eric, I modified the following:
minHeight:400,minWidth:350
I don’t rmember the original values but these worked perfectly.
